TOUR DESCRIPTION

Day 1 (Wed, 14 Feb): DANANG ARRIVAL – HOIAN (D)

Upon arrival at Danang, you will be greeted by Venue guide who will escort you on a tour of Danang City , including the Cham Museum, Marble Mountain . Continue to delightful township of Hoi An, which was which was originally one of major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. Hoian town is now not only an UNESCO World Heritage, but a real live museum.

Once at Hoi An we will check into our hotel, followed by some free time to explore the ancient town and see how local people here prepare for their Tet. Dinner and O/N Hoian.

 

Day 2 (Thu, 15 Feb): HOIAN VISIT (B, L, D)  

Today there will be a tour in Hoi An to the Chinese Assembly Halls, the Japanese Covered Bridge, brightly painted temples and pagodas make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Vietnam and Tan Ky House.

Following the tour there is free time to discover what else Hoi An has to offer. Whether it is in the silk shops having a new wardrobe tailored or cycling to the beach about 4 kilometers away, one thing is certain, you will not get bored in this town. Dinner and O/N Hoian.  

Day 3 (Fri, 16 Feb): HOIAN –MYSON – NEW YEAR EVE in Hoian (B, L, D)
Today, we have a half-day trip in the morning to visit the capital and religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom of My Son, the second UNESCO World Heritage on the trip. Here, 40km southwest of Hoi An, in a lush green valley, are dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the seventh and thirteenth centuries. Back to Hoian for lunch. In the afternoon we visit a family in Hoian and attend the last preparations for New Year Eve and new days with them. Cooking and laying the offerings on the altar require a lot of patience and skillfulness. The Year End party (Tat Nien) will be held as the evening comes. All family member will gather (though they live far away from home, they often try their best to come back by Tet time to reunit with their family) and enjoy the party together. The eldest will recall all the important events of the year and remind his sons, daughters and grandchildren to do good things in the New Year. Thank and wish them good luck for new year. After dinner, we fall in line with people heading forward to Danang city and wait for the Eve time in a very crowded and excited atmosphere. Firecracker and many interesting activities will be held to welcome new year at 12am. Back to your hotel in Hoian early morning for your relaxation. O/N in Hoi An.

Day 4 (Sat, 17 Feb): HOIAN – HUE First day of the Lunar New Year (B, L, D)

As we bid Hoi An farewell this morning we continue our north bound journey to Hue, the third Heritages in this journey, with stop-over at Lang Co beach, for coffee and refreshments, then continuing on our way to Hue.

Check-in hotel upon arrival Hue . Vietnamese concept that their new year depends on the first person coming their home in the first day of year so it’s better we are not their. We visit a family in Hue this afternoon to see what they do in this special day. Children’ ve been waiting for this day for all year. You’ll see why when you attend a special rite with them here. Dinner and Overnight Hue .

 

Day 5 (Sun, 18 Feb): FULL DAY HUE CITY TOUR (B, L, D)

After breakfast at hotel, we have a boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue ’s best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda, join with local peole here to pray for a prosperous new year.

After lunch, continue your visit to the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the bustling Dong Ba market. Dinner and O/N in Hue .

Day 6 (Mon, 19 Feb): HUE DEPARTURE (B)
You will be free at leisure on this last day before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight. We hope that you have enjoyed a memorable trip and look forward to welcome you back.
