TOUR DESCRIPTION

Day 1 (Sun, 11 Feb): SAIGON ARRIVAL (D)

Arrive Tan Son Nhat airport in Saigon, welcome by Venue Vietnam tour guide and being transferred to hotel in the city center for checking-in. Take a short walking tour in main streets of the city center to feel the busy and bustling atmosphere of those last days before Tet. Welcome dinner and O/N Saigon.

Day 2 (Mon, 12 Feb): SAIGON – BUON MA THUOT (B, L, D)

Full day excursion on the historical highway 14: Visit the HoChiMinh Trail at the Daksong Junction and the Draysap Waterfalls on the way to BuonMaThuot. Enjoy the famous coffee in town. Dinner and O/N BuonMaThuot.

Day 3 (Tue, 13 Feb): BUON MA THUOT – KON TUM (B, L, D)

Leaving Buon Ma Thuot northwardly to KonTum this morning, we stop at a sacred Ede Tribe cemetery and the volcanic lake in Pleiku.

Late afternoon promenade around Kontum quiet town, coffee break at Eva cafe to discover the life style of hill tribe. Dinner and O/N in KonTum.

Day 4 (Wed, 14 Feb): KON TUM – HOMESTAY with Bahnar tribe (B, L, D).

See the old battlefields around DakTo. Visit Sedang villages - Dakrijol and Dakripeng - and cross suspension bridges during this 4km trek. In the afternoon hike to Konchori and Konkotu village with time to swim in Dakbla River. In the evening enjoy traditional gong music of the Bahnar tribe before staying in a Rong House at Konkotu village.

Day 5 (Thu, 15 Feb): KON TUM – BUON MA THUOT (B, L, D)

Trek back to KonTum via K’pong and K’nam villages, visiting a Bahnar tribe wooden church. Take your car back to Buon Ma Thuot. At leisure rest of the day. Dinner and O/N Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 6 (Fri, 16 Feb): SAIGON – NEW YEAR EVE (B/L/D)

Leaving the Central Highland behind and head back to Saigon to celeberate the new year eve.

Ho Chi Minh City has been in a bustling preparation of interesting cultural activities for the Tet (lunar New Year) 2007 since the early Feb. Nguyen Hue Flower Street, one of the events receiving the highest expectations of the public, will take place from February 15 to 19. So this is your great chance to see this wonderful work.

After return to your hotel in the city center and take a rest, start strolling along Nguyen Hue street and enjoy the special atmosphere of the traditional Tet festival with local people.

After dinner, we fall in line with people heading forward to the city center and wait for the Eve time in a very crowded and excited atmosphere. Firecracker and many interesting activities will be held to welcome new year at 12am. Back to your hotel in early morning for your relaxation. O/N in Saigon.

Day 7 (Sat, 17 Feb): SAIGON 1^st DAY OF THE LUNAR NEW YEAR – DEPARTURE (B/L)

It’s time to wear the new clothes, to pay mutual respects on Tet, saying ‘CHUC MUNG NAM MOI’, give and take the red lucky packet (bao li xi) to each other.

We pick you up around 9am in the morning. Vietnamese concept that their new year depends on the first person coming their home in the first day of year so it’s better we are not their. We visit a family to see what they do in this special day. Children’ ve been waiting for this day for all year. You’ll see why when you attend a special rite with them here. Have lunch with family and you will be invited to try Vietnamese’s delicious specialties only used for Tet.

Say goodbye to the local people then you will be transferred to the airport to take flight leaving Vietnam. We hope that you have enjoyed memorable moments with us and look forward to welcome you back.
