TOUR DESCRIPTION

Day 1: SAIGON ARRIVAL (D)
Welcome to Vietnam !
Upon your arrival Tan Son Nhat airport in Saigon , you will be warmly greeted at the airport by VenueVietnam tour guide and transferred to the hotel in the city centre for check-in. Start an orientation tour of the city from the Post Office in colonial-style and the Notre Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1883 and being the major seat of the Catholic religion in modern . Go on to visit Thien Hau pagoda and a specific section that does not exist in any other city of – a bustling China Town , where every board is in two languages – Chinese and Vietnamese, and so are the communication languages of the inhabitants. In the centre of this exciting area is a grandiose market : “Cho Lon”, i.e. The Big Market. Dinner and overnight Saigon.

Day 2: SAIGON – CAI BE FLOATING MARKET (B, L, D)

Since the floating market is held quite early in the morning, we’d better leave Saigon early today to catch the bustling time of the market. So, leave Saigon at around 07.00 and head south to Cai Be. On arrival at 10:00am, boarding a boat for a journey through the towns’s floating market. See how river life goes on, trading between merchant ships and lovsl farmers. Walk through the village streets and watch locals making pop sticky rice cake and rice paper or manioc chips. Cruised through the secluded canals where we stop at an ancient house of the area to enjoy seasonal fruits. Lunch before our boat takes us to the Mighty Mekong (approx. 1km wide), cruise to other island for walking, visiting fruit orchards. Cruise through natural waterways to CaiBe where our bus pick up for return. Back to Saigon late afternoon. Dinner and O/N Saigon .

Day 3: SAIGON – TAY NINH – CU CHI TUNNELS (B, L, D)
Start your day by leaving Saigon for a visit to Tayninh, the centre of Caodaism, a local sect of Buddhism founded by a Vietnamese countryman in early 20th century. Arriving at noontime, you will have the chance to witness the daily ceremony at the temple of Cao Dai called Tayninh Holysee.
The midday mass is very solumn and respectful. Today, the Caodaism numbers over 2 million members, who are vegetarians, obey the rules of chastity, and lead very simple lives helping the sick and the infirm.  They are known for their séances and communications with the spirit world.

On the way back to Saigon is located Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the Vietnam War. Beneath the ground lie 200 km of tunnels, dug by hand and inhabited by the forces of the Vietnamese guerillas during the conflict. At its peak, prior to the Tet Offensive in 1968, the tunnel complex was base to almost 10,000 troops. To this day, it remains one of the most impressive examples of how fierce the war was.  Return to Saigon in late afternoon. Dinner and O/N in Saigon .

Day 4: SAIGON – DANANG – HOIAN (B, L, D)

Morning at leisure for your own shopping before being transferred to the airport to fly to Danang.

Hoi An, Danang and Hue form the significant cluster of Central Vietnam, though, each city has its diversified style. Whilst Hue is quiet, traditionally-reserved and poetic, Danang is an ardent seaport guy with more and more constructions growing everyday and somehow more popular for cruiser ships than long-staying guests, whist the ancient Hoian architecture is an enchanting mix of Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese styles. In the early 1980s Hoi An’s ancient quarters and historical monuments came under the protection and restoration efforts of UNESCO and overseas experts.

Welcome upon arrival Danang airport and leave for Hoian. After check-in your hotel, spend rest of the day visiting the town of Hoi An. Together with your local guide in Hoian, walk over the tile-roofed Japanese Bridge, visit taciturn Chinese Assembly Halls and Trading Houses, pagodas and stroll into the market located by Thu Bon river, you may find out the same feelings of the artists, who see the rooftops of Hoi An a magical old world of Oriental feel and source of inspiration. This is also a wonderful town to shop for lanterns, soft silk, raw silk, or order your clothes to be tailored within a day. Dinner and O/N Hoian.

Day 5: HOIAN – MY SON – HOIAN (B, L, D)
After breakfast, depart to visit the most concentrative and impressive combination of Cham Towers at My Son, 45km from Hoian town, where you can learn much about the Cham culture that once brightly developed in the location of present Central Vietnam.
